ALIGN: A Summit on Increasing Value in Health Care (Featuring Lessons from RWJF's Aligning Forces for Quality)

This November, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will host a national summit to discuss what’s working—and what’s needed—to improve health care quality and reduce costs in U.S. communities. We’ll take an in-depth look at what specific regions of the country have done to improve their local health care markets and discuss what other communities can learn from their experience.

Over the past eight years, efforts supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have shown that bringing together the people who give, get, and pay for health care locally can improve its quality. Since 2006, 16 Aligning Forces for Quality communities have convened partnerships, often where none existed, to propel health and health care in ways big and small. Their work offers models for local and national reform.

On November 13 and 14 in Washington, DC, we will share lessons and discuss how they inform future efforts to create a Culture of Health.
