About This Collection

The Consumer Representative Pre-Meeting: Empower| Educate| Engage was held prior to the November 2011 National Meeting of Aligning Forces for Quality as a way to provide an overview of topics to be addressed during the National Meeting to ensure that all consumer representatives are able to effectively participate.  

Consumer involvement is a valuable and powerful forces at many points along the continuum of health care quality and system redesign.  Aligning FOrces for Quality serves as a unique model of engaging consumers at key points along this coninuum - including public reporting of health care quality, cohronic disease self management, and clinical quality improvement.  Engaging and sustaining consumer involvement is a key element of AF4Q, and is critical to the success of all the program's goals, across all 16 AF4Q communitites.  The resources in this collection were distributed during the Consumer Representative Pre-Meeting: Empower| Educate| Engage.
