This is a collection of resources relating to Health Information Technology (HIT).  Health information technology includes a wide array of activities, including computerized physician order entry, electronic health records as well as an array of social media tools such as blogs and Facebook. The Health Information Technology Resource Center (HITRC) is housed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. The Center’s principal objective is to serve as an HIT support center for all of Aligning Forces for Quality. The overall goal is to assist the AF4Q communities, RWJF and the NPO in making value- and evidence-based decisions to implement HIT strategies, where appropriate, that have a high probability of success in enabling quality improvement, functional and usable public reporting and engaging consumers, including amongst traditionally underserved populations.
