This document developed by AIR gives examples and guidance on how to display contextual information about five health topics (asthma, breast cancer, cervical cancer, diabetes, and heart disease) to help consumers understand the importance of comparative quality reporting. Contextual information includes estimates of: condition prevalence, risk factors, costs, condition-attributable health care utilization, and the distribution of the condition across the population.
