Albuquerque's First Hospital and Practice Public Reports

The Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality posted its first ambulatory and hospital quality reports. Hospital Snapshot uses information from Hospital Compare, an online public report developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.  Hospital Snapshot provides information on Albuquerque Hospitals in a consumer-friendly format. Medical Group Snapshot provides a “snapshot in time” of how participating Albuquerque medical groups are performing in specific areas of care.   The participating medical groups cover 47% of primary care physicians in the community and Medical Group Snapshot reports on process of care measures, including diabetes care, cardiovascular care, breast and cervical cancer screenings, and appropriate use of asthma medications across all lines of business (commercial, Medicaid and Medicare).  Both of these reports have established a baseline to use in the Coalition’s upcoming quality improvement activities.
